CONNECTION
Turntable or 5th Wheel Dolly
Bottom dump pups can be build with either a turntable dolly or a 5th wheel dolly for added versatility. What is the difference?
- A turntable dolly will require less maintenance and generally will have less dust and containments get into the greased areas, however, the dolly is permanently attached to the trailer.
- A 5th wheel dolly requires grease between the 5th wheel and trailer kingpin. This will require breaking the trailer and dolly apart to apply grease. Because of the extra work involved regular maintenance may be neglected. However, since the trailer and dolly can be broken apart either the dolly can be used on a separate application or the trailer can be utilized when operating in tight quarters for a shorter trailer is needed.
DRAWBAR OPTIONS
Drawbars ban be made in various lengths to fit your application. Most of our drawbars are hinged drawbars using Premier© rubber bushed hinges and a Premier© rubber bushed eyelet. We can also make adjustable drawbars for multiple lengths and applications.
